For anyone interested in such things, the USPS has recently released its 2011 Sustainability Report:
http://about.usps.com/news/national...pr12_075.htmWhile much of the material is of minimal interest, I did excerpt the following from the executive summary that I found a bit interesting in that the USPS now has 360
LESS physical properties than last year, yet they expended 1.3
TRILLION BTU's more in energy costs than in 2010...and that doesn't even mention the fact that they spent MORE in fuel and greenhouse gas emissions in 2011 than 2010 (with a reduced fleet of vehicles?) but they recorded LESS solid waste recycling.
(It doesn't sound to me like they are keeping to their energy reduction plan very well.)
