Yes. During the 5˘ domestic letter-rate era, 4˘ paid the "drop letter rate"

David, this is still circular and a bit inconsistent, it seems. If everything went air beginning in the early 1950's with "first class up" why the 5 cent domestic letter rate during the 60's (when the "drop letter" rate was 4 cents), and the 4 cent domestic letter rate during the 1950's, if the air rate was 7 cents and everything outside the city of origin was to go by air?

Wine - beer - stamp collecting. Throw in pizza and this would be the perfect thread!

Modern

I make most of my wine from kits I've just started dabling in making it from Rhubarb, strawberries, grapes etc.. It is a lot more work.

I can honestly say even though I make about 50 cases of beer a year I've never had a bottle explode. My husband almost lost an eye once when he twisted off a cap and it hit the ceiling. (a little too much priming sugar I think.)

It would be an ideal situation if we could all meet somewhere, somehow, someday. We are just stretched to thin across several continents. But, it's something to hold out hope for.

David, still doesn't account for those mysterious 7-centers of the Canada Goose and Jet Plane over Ottawa airport with typical airmail symbolism.
