Good morning everyone,

I have a few more quick questions.

1. What kind of glue do you all use to attach your mounts to album pages?

2. I saw in another thread the announcement about the mystic albums with mounts built-in, but has anyone actually looked at these? It seems like it would save me a lot of trouble over actually gluing mounts into pages.

3. Are there stamp albums dedicated just to federal duck stamps? How do you all organize your topical collections? For instance, my favorite stamps are the transportation coils, but they were released over a period of time so I wouldn't want a premade album that had them spaced on separate pages. How do you all handle something like this?

Thanks again for all the help!

Aren't most mounts pregummed and all you have to do is moisten and attach. It seems to me that using glue to attach mounts is a bit of overkill.

For my mounts, I use Scotch removeable scrapbooking tape. It has an extremely light adhesive, so I can remove and reposition the mounts as necessary. Unlike most tapes, it's also acid-free, so it won't damage the mounts or stamps over time.

Consider making your own albums.

One topic on this subject is entitled "Printable album pages?", which you can find using the 'search' feature at the top of this page.

This weekend I tried to put some stamps into mounts to put in my album pages. That is not a fun process for me. I can never seem to find a mount that is a good fit for my stamp. How do you all manage mounts? Do you cut your own or have a variety of sizes in a tackle box or something?

Do a board search for cutting mounts, dennison hinges, showguard, etc.

There are just to many topics to supply a link to. I am sure you will find tutorials or suggestions for hinged or unhinged mounts.
