In celebration of the 4th of July, I submit this piece (unfortunately it was too large to fit on my letter sized scanner, so this is the best I could do):

Anyone else have July 4th covers, postmarks, cancellations, etc.? There have been many stamps issued through the years on July 4th, too.

Let's see some!

I was going to put this on the Cover of the Day thread but this seems much more appropriate!

Here's something I don't see too often. A matched set of plate blocks in all four positions (UL, LL, UR, LR) of Plate No. 30045 for the Flag Issue of July 4, 1968, all on Fleetwood cacheted covers:

What would a person do to get FDCs of all four corners?

I'm not sure I understand your question. These were all given to me years ago so I'm not sure how they were initially acquired.

I'm looking at nearly 150 plate block FDC's of this issue and I was only able to pull together two complete sets of plate number positions, the one shown above with Fleetwood cachets and this set with Artcraft cachets in Plate No. 30074:

Oh, so they weren't all requested by one person to be an intentional set of four corners? I'm impressed that you were able to assemble TWO sets no matter how many you have. Wow!
