Maybe the mispelling was intentional. "SON" as in the farmers son making hay, there is a boy on the card. But that is just my take.

OK, maybe I should have been more specific. To me SUN is spelled incorrectly because obviously it's the SON who is shining shoes and there is no SUN visible in either. Seems everyone else saw it the other way!
