Greetings,

I have several uncut sheets of the WWII commemorative series issued by the postal service from 1991 through 1995. There are 10 stamps per set joined by a world map in the middle. Is there much value to these sets and are they appreciating? I have included photo showing the various sets.

Greg

Your best bet on valuation is to see what they're selling for on ebay, less postage. There should be dozens listed, both single sheets and sets of five.

I am not quite sure what you mean by uncut. Are they imperforate? I wouldn't think these are especially difficult to get. I have a set. They remembered ten "events" of each year of WWII. I think that I only paid a couple of dollars for each sheet.

I'm showing my ignorance now,...the sheets are all perforated like normal, just not torn apart or separated. One sheet has two sets.

Some time ago I looked at ebay for a few of these I had - as I recall there might have been a little premium for the 1944 and 1945 years but otherwise face was about all they sold for on ebay. Remember to look at ebay completed listings and not open listings. Completed shows what actual sales occurred at. But sometimes it's how you write it up on ebay also to garner interest. There are a few individual stamps that might get more than face-value interest if you want to go that route.
