This is an old, imperial era (pre-revolution) post card from Russia. It is a real photo card of what appears to be a painting of a widow and children bringing home the casket of their husban/father on a horse-drawn sledge.

Can anyone read the script?

No, even though I don't collect post cards, this card and the WWI card from Bavaria with the German Children posing an "Auf Wiedersein" farewell are haunting and thought provoking enough for me to want to hold on to them for now.

Actually, it's an interesting topic I started, along with joining the Mourning Stamps & Covers Club. I have an interest in social history and customs, so I am doing the topical on the customs and traditions of death and funerals. You know, the black wreath on the door, the black pplumed horses, black arm bands, etc.
