Great stuff folks and that "SPECIMEN" from Australia is fantastic.

Here is a Belgian 'proof' of a meter I won at an auction a couple of years ago.

This is a 1976 cover from the Belgian Philatelic Centre, railway mail section, that has a special meter cancel applied commemorating 50 yers of railway mail service in Belgium. Note the 1926 / 1976 stylized year and railway mail logo.

Just recently in another forum, I made a comment on a thread about meters by stating, "I think meters are finding their place in the philatelic realm". Another member came back and said - "Don't move to the dark side" - lol.

Of course, it was said in jest - I hope <G>
