I just got half a dozen more in today from ebay. I was thinking would be neat to collect RW1s just to see the differences but was a pipe dream thing day dreaming. Then I found this link at ebay, wow, check it out, someone one was having fun collecting...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/USA-A-HUGE-...em51c80dd755

My collection goes to the year 2000 on the USA Federal Used Duck Stamps on Liberty Stamp Album Pages. I still need RW1,2,3,5,9,11,18,52,54,55,56,57,60-67,1998,99,2000(have 45 so far)

I like the used with hunters signatures-they are supposed to sign to be valid and keep it on them while hunting to be legal. So I figure some of the ones I have ,and will have, traveled some.

I collect the federal ducks but not the state. But I do happen to have one 1987 New York duck stamp ... it appears to have no gum & has a very tiny corner crease at the upper left. If anyone wants it, they can have it ... just send me a private message with mailing details & it's yours for free. I'll pay the postage.
Hmmm ... on second thought, just reply to this message in the forum. No need for multiple members to send me their address. I'll send a pm to the first responder asking for the mailing details & we'll go from there.

Cheers,

Yes, Sam Houston Duck Company / Sam Houston Philatelics is a great place to purchase duck stamps. I have been buying from them for 30 or so years. Its owner, Bob Dumaine is very helpful. He is co-author of
a wonderful book, The Duck Stamp Story published in 2000. Hopefully one day he will publish a new edition covering from 2000- present. I only collect mint US Federal,(Migratory Bird Hunting & Conservation Stamp), & Junior Duck Stamps and my home state Louisiana's beautiful duck stamps(Louisiana Waterfowl Conservation Stamps) which began in 1989- present.

I have some listed on ebay but there doesn't appear to be much demand. They are nice to look at but I never developed an interest in collecting them myself.

I think it's just "ducky" that people collect them. They are beautiful works of art! I sold mine years ago because I just wasn't "quacked" about them.
OK I'll go back under my rock after that "fowl" post.

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.
