Temp, It's a big job pricing up a whole collection of stamps.
If you can borrow a Stanley Gibbons catalog from your library, you can work your way through the collection and number all the stamps.
Then if you want you can go onto their website at
http://mycollection.stanleygibbons....c/search.aspand bring the values right up to date.
You can also use Scott catalogs, but I'm not sure if they have website to update pricing.
Be aware that this will not allow for varieties and errors, and thus will only be a rough guide.
If you try to sell the collection, it may be worth only 20 or 30 percent of that. Like Philb said, you won't know what it's worth until you try to sell it.
Have fun
Steve
