Once again I am pleased to see a Route 66 postmark in today's USPS Postal Bulletin. This will be the 3rd postmark this year that is directly tied to route 66, the other 2 were from San Bernardino CA in September. It is for the town of Catoosa OK dated 10/31/08 it pictures a Jack O Lantern and The Blue Whale with verbage "Blue Whale Rt. 66" in the mouth of the whale. For those interested The Blue Whale is located in a pond and has a diving platform from its open mouth and a slide on its side it is a fun inviting roadside attraction located along historic route 66.

This postmark would work well for a topical collector of route 66, Oklahoma, pumpkins, halloween, vegetables, whales, manmade structures, or Native American named towns.

If anyone is interested in requesting this 30 day available postmark:
Hometown Halloween Station
Postmaster
1805 S. Cherokee St.
Catoosa, OK 74015-9998

If anyone can find out if there will be an official cover please let me know.
