Gorgeous Apple stamps I think I am salivating. The tree certainly knew what it was doing, in attracting predators to spread its seeds. |

As unusual as they are for Aussies, I immediately see Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

Honestly, every time I see a new U.S. stamp, I'm thankful I don't collect new U.S. stamps. It's not just the absurd number they release, it's the horrible designs. The fact is, I hardly even use the USPS anymore, I think we buy a new booklet of stamps maybe once or twice a year, everything is electronic and for the things that do go through the mails, it's all printed postage anyhow. I just cannot support the USPS stamp program, I sure wouldn't collect it and frankly, if this was what all stamps looked like and how they were released, I wouldn't collect at all.
Thanks, USPS for driving away lots of collectors. You've earned your slide into oblivion. |

I love the apple and bridge stamps...
But I'm not so sure about the puffin stamp. It's very attractive, but do we actually have puffins in the USA? |

It's been previously reported that the stamps consisting of the car series "America on the Move" this year will be Muscle Cars of the 60s and 70s, specifically:
1966 Pontiac GTO 1967 Shelby GT 500 1969 Dodge Charger 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

Hmmmmmmm... If the erasure is at all close to the actual design... Not a Chevelle... not a Charger... possibly the Mustang... Not the GTO...
As for not collecting US stamps, I agree they have alienated many collectors, but to basically ban the USPS from your life sort of goes against being a stamp collector of any sort. Just an opinion in response to an opinion... |

There's a difference between being a collector and a sucker. Just sayin'. |
