I have been waiting for a good example of the "Washington D.C." cancel that was once used on so-called embassy mail -- covers inbound to the U.S. from the U.S. Embassy in a foreign country, but physically carried in a diplomatic pouch and ultimately cancelled in Washington.
Unfortunately I forget what the slogan part of the cancel says, except that it starts, "This article..."

I have also seen 1950s stamps from Iran and Afghanistan cancelled in the same way.
