I was rummaging around in my binders and found my BOB stuff and just thought I'd scan a couple things.
I have many random pages like this. I should get a revenue catalog and put them all in some kind of good order. I been toying with an heirloom album but I'm not ready to put all my nuts in one basket yet but I know there are some great sources as well as album pages.

Nice. I especially like the round revenue on the first page, and the pharmaceutical labels.

Cheers, Robert

Hey thank you for the compliments! I was going through some old stuff and re-discovered all these random revenue stamps again and thought I'd scan a few pages. I do a few more pages that I didn't scan and a bunch of what looks like old written receipts with postage due stamps on them. maybe I ought to post them so someone might know what they are exactly?

Very nice stamps

I particularly like the "Playing Card" stamps too. They can be a study all by themselves really.

The two stamps with triangular punch holes were used in the NY Custom House on documents of merchandise entering the country. There was normally a double ring blue handstamp cancel around the triangle at the start of each day (you can see it faintly on the $1 entry of goods), but there was too much merchandise coming in to keep on inking the canceling device so the punch hole made sure the stamp could not be reused. The same device made both the hole and the ink cancel at the same time. Stamps with just the punch hole are much more common than stamps with a readable custom house cancel.

I have never seen a "Flying Eagle" registered meter strip before. You may have something special there.

Wow, Now I have seen two! I understand why you are keeping it. If you did sell it, it might be tough to get what it is truly worth considering it's rarity. Thanks for showing it.

Thank you. I really enjoy it. I got it totally free too in a pile of old 4x4's (must have been from a cancellation collector's collection)but this was in such great shape I figured I'd just protect it and put it up (in a display card that's in a sleeve that's in another plastic sleeve and in a S2 Vario sheet! lol). I doubt I'll ever sell my collection I just collect for fun.
