I get feedback from buyers about 75% of the time. Some people just don't bother with it. Don't take is personally.

I always give feedback but only after I receive the item. I know that sounds just like good common sense but I have had buyers leave feedback right after payment? I don't get it but it is what it is I suppose. Also I would much prefer the element of surprise over a statement of fact in the listing.

Ah, so your freebies are not a gift; they are a lever on your buyer, a way of persuading them to give you more than they want to give. And when they don't come across you feel hurt and angry.

I didn't read it that way at all. You seem to assume quite a bit out of one sentence

And congrats on your first sale

I would much prefer to receive a suprise "bonus" as it would make one feel he's getting a bit of a compliment for being the buyer. Advertising up front that extras will be included is just another way of "baiting the hook".

Personally, I would be more inclined to favourably recommend a seller who provided the unsolicited extra.

My apologies. I suspect we have a translation problem here. If you are ever in Britain I suggest you refrain from using the term bummed to convey mild irritation; it is likely, as here, to be taken to mean that you are being totally b*gg*r*d.
