I have been looking at these stamps I think they are R13a and e and I guess the lighter color is ultramarine???????

Not ultramarine and almost certainly not a genuine imperf either. Alas. :-(

And the experimental silk paper only comes on perforated stamps. It was not issued until 1870, many years after the imperf and part perf stamps came out.

so what are you saying that they are? I have little knowlege and lots of stamps but anxious to learn. Were they altered?

The left stamp was trimmed from a perforated stamp. The right stamp is probably a genuine imperf. Notice how much thinner the paper is on the right stamp, you can see the design through it fairly clearly, but the trimmed stamp paper is much thicker. On the 2 cent proprietary that is generally true, imperfs and part perfs are on much thinner paper. That is true for several different imperf and part perf first issues, but not all.
