"FNB" perfin on scott #1033 (2˘ Thomas Jefferson issued 09/15/54 Perf 11 x 10˝)

Does it mean First National Bank?

The perfins in question are below. Any help with these or even just tips on where to look or especially some research material for ID-ing perfins is most welcome! I seen that Rail Road perfin thread and I really enjoyed it so I thought I'd start a new thread instead of hi-jacking that one. Thank you very much!

The same ones but digitally "Flipped"

FNB = First National Bank (of Boston)

The center one in the row of stamps (USMC) = United Shoe Machinery Company. Yours has two control marks, identifying it's use as from New York.

For more information on the USMC perfin, checkout this previous link:

Here's one for ya! I never seen this particular one before so would any of our perfin specialists know what this Capital "D" stands for, or more specifically what company used it? Any help or hint would just be great! Thank you for your time and patients I really appreciate it! -Jeff

D = DEERE & COMPANY

I believe this D perfin has appeared in both US and Canadian stamps.

BTW, BNAPS publishes a perfin handbook that would come in handy for those who collect perfins.

Wow, DEERE & COMPANY eh? Thank you so much! I'm not really a perfin collector but I do have a page of ones that I find interesting or of course tobacco related.
