I recently was gifted a package and amongst the wonderful items I found these all neatly tucked away in a little glassine between the flaps of the box. The previous owners most likely didn't know they was even there. I enjoy them and think they are an endearing reminder of a time past. Here they are now protected and displayed as they should be. I admit I need to organize them but they are so pretty and colorful I thought I'd share them with you. I don't think they hold much, if any monetary value but they are very valuable as a wonderful teaching tool if nothing else. Thank you for taking a look and, as always any information you could provide would be most welcome.

Good morning Jeff.
Those are great. I just got a bunch of those Christmas seals in a trade with stampgal for some US Easter seals. I think they are terrific.
And I do love that Atlanta Symphony Orchestra cinderella. Trés classy.
I have a couple of others from the Holy Childhood. Don't know much about them, except they were some religious organization who like AMVETS or Boystown put out seals every year to raise funds. I'll post them tonight when I get home.
I think we're turning you into a cinderella collector!

For a number of years, both Canada and the United States issued Chritmas seals with the same design for any given year. I am not sure if this is the same for Easter seals but have heard that they too have some with similar designs.

Nice array of seals.

This thread reminded me of a lot I recently won at an auction. It is a partial booklet of Christmas seals for the "Muskoka Free Hospital For Consumptives". The Muskoka area is a specialty for me and this falls in to that category even though I do not collect Christmas seals per se.

Here's the history of the Holy Childhood Association (HCA) Christmas Seals:

Yes wt1

That is our site but thought I would include this block, since it is my first one of these specialized seals. One of these days, I will get a full booklet pane.

Glad you liked the information.

Let me qualify this by stating that these ARE NOT mine, but I found them when searching for the Holy Childhood Association (HCA) Christmas Seals. An incredible number of them were issued through the years:

I was going through more literature again today after snow-blowing our driveway and shovelling off the sundeck - figured I needed a break.

I came across these images that were from an old auction and they show some Colour Proof Progressive Dies (hope I remembered the correct terminology) and thought I would show them in here.

Glad you liked the images.

I once saw saw colour phases for coloured images to be included in the Canadian Stamp News. Each colour was a phase. So, I can only assume that the phases for the stamp printings were similar (?)
