I collected stamps as a child and into high school, using the Scott Big Blues, V1 and V2, then got away from it until about ten years ago upon retirement. I still had the two Scotts and have added Mystic Heirloom binders for US stamps and Voyager binders for foreign stamps and now have about two dozen total. I started making my own pages about three years ago and found it more satisfying to fabricate my own groupings.

I joined the Forum about six months ago, as a trial, and must confess I have learned more in the past few months than in the many previous years. I am absolutely stunned by the depth of knowledge of the Forum members and have much about perfins, cancellations and minor marks that I never noticed.

I collect, on purpose, WW 19th century and am always interested in BOB stamps and German States, but I always keep anything modern that comes in the mail, which amounts to about two dozen different stamps every year.

Many thanks to all those in the Forum that have been so willing to share their expertise. I read the "Last 100 New" every evening and make notes of catalogs and web sites that are referenced that I think may be useful in the future.

Donald
