Hello, I recently got hold of some old stamps, and among them was the stamp shown below. I have no idea what it is, and was wondering if anyone can help ID it. I know it is a US stamp, and that it is old, but other than that I don't know anything else.

Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks!

Bear in mind JackBrown that condition is the be-all and end-all. The stamp you have scanned is in pretty bad shape.

Just to keep you on the right track about collecting stamps

@I_Love_Stamps Thanks, that is a generous offer, I have some I plan to trade too when I reach 50 quality posts.

@Bujutsu Hehe yea, it is quite beat up. It was in the bottom of a box of stamps that were in good condition, and I had no idea what it was. The stamp may be in bad condition, but I bet none of us will look that good once we are the same age hehe.
