I've been collecting U.S. revenues for a couple years now. I focus mainly on taxpaids, but I also like to collect revenue stamped paper (checks), state revenues, and some documentary stamps. I don't have too many stars in my collection, though I am close to completing a set of the Kentucky state sales tax stamps, a collection that my wife believes confirms my obsession with revenue stamps.
I don't know how I got into collecting these stamps. I think I saw a picture of the 1914 $1 documentary and thought that I'd like to find out more about it. And here we are.
The light from the flash obscures the left two, but I know that all four are first issue revenues. The $1 is Scott R69 (probably R69c, but I can't tell) and the far right one is R44. Hope this helps!
