Some stamp collectors may find this interview interesting:

http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/extra.../index.shtml

A couple of points I picked up were that:

(1) The PMG suggested 20 million Muscle Cars stamps were issued whereas the Postal Bulletin suggests 35 million stamps were issued. (I suppose we can chalk it up to the PMG simply having made a mistake during the interview?)

(2) The PMG also suggested that the next series of vehicle stamps may very well be trucks. Something we can look forward to in the next series of these stamps.

He mentioned that people was complaining that there was no AMC?!...Ha-Ha! Can you imaging the old "fish-bowl" AMC Pacer on a stamp?

I think this is the type of AMC car that the Muscle Car enthusiasts would have liked to have seen on a stamp:

Yeah probably but mine's funnier though...lol Seriously though, I hadn't realized that AMC produced a muscle car? Looks awesome!

I watched and enjoyed this and really give kudos to Jay Leno for working philately into an interesting and entertaining piece. As people get tired of the technology demands of life maybe there will be a national resurgence for all the relaxation and fun that topical stamp collecting offers. My theory is everyone can enjoy whatever their interests may be to a greater extent through stamp collecting.

Jay Leno has framed muscle car stamps in his garage. Will he start to go after the thousands of stamps issued that depict cool, fun, memorable cars? Maybe!

Anything is possible, I don't see Leno sitting still for a while sorting stamps..but then I don't know how he handles a garage full of vehicles.how can he devote time to any given one ?

AMC didn't make a muscle car?? I OWN ONE! (http://maxiblue.homestead.com/) My boyfriend owns three! And there were many more in the past...

In fact, Javelins did very well in professional racing. An AMX also broke a land speed record. But all the muscle fun came to an end in 1975, partly due to those wonderful government regulations.............

The '70 Rebel Machine shown above was sort of a large version of the earlier Rambler S/C, both were available in the R/W/B color schemes.

Here is my '74 Javelin at a car show last year. While not mint, it gets a lot of attention at shows...
