Just returned from the Philadelphia National Stamp Exhibition, I was a little surprised as it was a lot smaller show than what I was expecting. There were more cover dealers than anyone else. Met with Eric Jackson, with whom I have bought many items in the past and I bought a few covers but, no stamps. To my surprise, I even walked away with more than half of my budgeted $$.

One of my purchases may even be a Va, I need to check it out a little more. I'll post them after I get them scanned and sized.

I spent a few hours and a lot of money there. There were enough stamp dealers among the cover specialists. I found some major items from my wantlist at prices that have eluded me on ebay. Also, I took the plunge and joined the APS.

Greaden, I'm new to this forum but I've been an APS member for 37 years. I don't think you'll regret it. It's worth every penny of its yearly dues.

Some of my better purchases;

A nice Cincinnati, Ohio postmark (#24)

A multi usage, (24 & 26)

A nice Blood's Penny Post label & postmark (#11a)

A fair strip of 3 (#24) the left stamp with a tear,
with the August Berstein Custom House Broker stamp.

Lastly, what I believe to be a 24 type Va on cover. Too bad the cancellation is smeared as it would be much easier to identify.

Just the stamp

I also have 1 cent blue Franklin cover (#24 x3)

and one from the Adjutant General's Office sent to; (#65)
