I have a trimmed family photo postcard that I am trying to identify as to where it came from. Can anyone help with the little that is shown of the postmark?

Tell us what language the card is written in. Certainly there is a "Ploesti" Romania, whose oil refineries were repeatedly bombed during World War II. But that oval marking with the "A..." at the bottom does not look like any Romanian postmark I've ever seen.

In the Western world, there are over 400 plausible cities and towns beginning with PLO. At the start of the alphabet, you have Ploachi, Latvia; Ploache, Italy; Plobsheim, France; Ploca; Ploce; Plochi; Plochocin, Poland; and MANY more.

Thanks all, I am pretty sure the language is Romanian. Somewhere there is probably correct.

Here is the list of places in Romania starting with PLO... Note there are duplicate entries. Take your pick.
