People who are collecting the Legends of Hollywood stamps, do you just collect the individual stamps, or do you collect the whole sheet?

With the nice selvage art and text, it almost feels like it's a souvenir sheet.

Agreed. That's how I collect them, the entire pane with all of the text and photos that may be included on the selvage. Of course, the USPS marketing people intentionally create the panes in this way in order to encourage collectors to purchase more product.

I may buy a second pane and take out one or two single stamps for album fill-ins and use the rest for postage, but whether or not the USPS or the various catalogs consider them "souvenir sheets" or not, the added information is so vital to the overall appearance of the issue, it loses so much by just collecting a single individual stamp.

I collect the whole sheet because the narrative is also important to me.
My favorite is Marilyn, the first in the series. I have also had the great opportunity to meet the artist in person, which was a real thrill.
Alas, I only have about half of the series so far. I guess I should have paid more attention when they came out.

I just picked up my First, and got 2. James Dean for 80% of face value for the full Sheets. The one I'm really wanting to find is the Hitchcock Version.
These are very attractive as the full sheet
