This past weekend, my club co-sponsored the Portland International Philatelic Exhibition (PIPEX). I picked up a number of items, but my favorite has to be a VF+ 119 with red cancellation. I'm always happy to find an upgrade for my 1869s, but rarely do you find one this nice. Thumbs up to Bill from OceanView Stamps!

Brian

Rileysan, I really wanted to head down I-5 to go to that show, but my foot surgery keeps me home these days. I should be out of the cast by June 13th. Nice pickup with amazing centering!

That thought occurred to me as well, although the two sides do line up well.

I also think it possible that some of the perfs on the top have been enhanced.

In spite of the possibility of it being reperfed, this stamp is a rock-solid addition to ANY collection. My collection of 1869s is no slouch, and I have more than a dozen 119s in addition to this one. I have no regrets buying this stamp!

It's not as if I even known this stamp, but the freshness of the paper (nice and bright with no toning) the original ink (no oxidation) and the cancel ink (no oxidation) make this a really eye-popper. I think you hit the trifecta.
