Reading Terminal Station, Philadelphia.
A nice PPC from my collection . It was sent on 30 April 1906 to Romania.
Publisher : Philadelphia Postcard Co. Pa. 925.
Printed in Germany

Now my question with regard to sparkling-golden garlands which can be seen around the building at various levels , (the sparkling is not quite visible here ), were these a reality at that time or are post card decoration only ? The garlands are not printed but in relief !
Tks

Greetings, March! Garnishment of postal cards in the "early" days was a very common practice. I have quite a few examples of such as: (1) I have postal cards made out of leather, (2) I have a postal card from buffalo, N.Y. with a stamped metal buffalo attached to it, (3) I have a postal card from Salt Lake City with a little bag of salt sewn onto it, (4) I have postal cards with building windows cut out giving depth to the windows, (4) I have lots of postal cards with glitter on them, etc. etc. etc. I am sure others can add additional examples.
