Do the various Scott catalogues price whole sheets? The USPS catalogue doesn't list them. My StampManager program has some sheet prices but where did they get them?

Fred

So Scott lists prices? Only the Specialized catalogue or what?

At least one issue of Linn's per month seems to contain a comprehensive dealer listing of mint sheets; a market still exists, but it's wobbly.

I just ordered a new Brookman catalogue. Are the prices there more realistic than Scotts?

yes, I believe so, although I am sure many would disagree. Brookman is not too good at stamp identification, in the way the Scott's specialized US catalogue is.

Short answer = no. Like Gibbons, Brookman is a retail pricelist. A good job, but put together by dreamers. Same with Mystic's online Scott-clone.

Fred - Brookman prices are higher than Scott, so you will need to reduce them by some factor to bring them down to reality, but they may be good for determining relative values (this one is worth 50% more than that one kind of thing). Brookman does list sheets but Scott only does for some of the modern smaller sheets.

And technically, what we a re discussing are panes not sheets.

You mean a sheet of 50 or 100 stamps is a pane?
