"There are also several stamps -- some of which are still available today -- that were printed by Banknote Corporation of America (BCA) and Stamp Venturers (SVS)."

There were quite a few that were produced by BCA and SVS, but I am curious which ones you think are from them that are still available today. SVS hasn't existed for many years (they morphed into SSP. BCA is till around, but I think they are owned by SSP, so everything they produce carries an S plate bumber, not a B.

I'm just going by the latest issue of USA Philatelic (Quarter 3, 2013) which refers to SVS and BCA in the TOC page.

A quick look through the catalog suggests that the following stamps are still available from Stamp Fulfillment Services from these printers:

SVS - $5 Washington and Jackson Stamp (issued 08/19/1994); and
BCA - 3c Star Definitive Stamp (issued 06/07/2002).

I don't question the fact that these entities may have merged or withdrawn from stamp printing over the years. It simply remains a fact that the above stamps from these two printers are still available for retail sales through Stamp Fulfillment Services (presumably until supplies are exhausted).

[edit to note]

I just checked my PB collection: The $5 Washington and Jackson Stamp contains a plate number "S1" but is printed by SVS; the 3c Star Definitive contains a plate number "B222" by BCA.

Thanks - I forgot about the $5 Jackson and did't realize the 3c Star was still available.
