i tried listing items for auction and it just keeps sending me back to square one where I have to retype again and again...does anyone else find this complicated compared to the old method ?

I've just added some instructions to the listing form.... Quote:
Description and Images Made Easy!
First, Click here to open a new forum post in the promotion forum. It will open in a new tab or window and will not disturb your listing form.
Now you can type your item description and upload images just like you do in a regular forum post.
Do not post the topic on the forum yet, just copy and paste your post into the description box in the listing form in the other tab/window.
Now find the image url that you want to use for the main image url in the description box and copy and paste that into the "Main Image Location" box in the listing form.
Fill out the rest of the form and proceed to post the listing.
Once the listing is posted, copy the url of the listing and paste it into the post you made in the other tab/window and post the topic.
Now you have created a listing and a forum post to promote it all at once!
Once you do it once or twice you'll see how easy it is. |

i have to step away from this for a bit..theres just something I can not wrap my head around just yet ! My stamp image comes up as a forum post and I lose the other steps ! |

Hi bobby131313,
All my scanned images are kept on a file in my mac and will display on my mac as desktop copies with my own file references. They are not kept on image hosting sites so I won't have an url to use. How can I then post these images on the sales form. For the forum post I can use the in-built image optimisation/posting tools which will see my mac file on the desktop. Why can I not do this for the sales form too? Deeply puzzled.

Yes. It is the "..now find the image url.. and copy and paste...' bit that I see as a problem. I won't have an url, I will have my own image reference. Or are you saying that will work?
I have been painting the house all day and brain is near dead.

Terry, you upload images to your forum posts right? When you upload them the url pops into the post. If you don't upload your images the only one that will see them is you. |

Thank you, that makes sense. I just sometimes struggle with new things. Will sort out some items now to post for sale. By the way, the return of the auction facility is very much appreciated.
