Well it happened again..every year or two..i get a phone message that someone saw my name in the Brookman Black Book of Stamps and had a few questions..i dread calling back... that infernal book..its almost criminal..it puts prices of a dollar apiece on 18 and 22 cent stamps from the 1970s..even the olympic stamps they ask..yes even the olympic stamps are best used for postage in my opinion..this fellow was one of the reasonable ones..he took my advice and is going to use them for postage..others refuse to believe that a block of four of the Navajo design stamps is not worth 4 dollars..it was not my idea to have my name in that book..i guess I am the contact for the Stamptrotters of Kingston N.Y. and they have my phone number..i may ask them to delete it....

philb,
I have a blue Brookman catalog from 2005 for stamps, FDC's, and autographs. Are you listed in that catalog as well? I only use to for ID purposes, especially BOB, rev's, and postal cards & stationery.

No, it doesn't that I recall. It had coupons in it that could be used to purchase from them. I guess it is a pricing/catalog/reference guide. Also, I think there are some advertisements. I don't have it in front of me for the exact title.

I feel your pain Phil. My name and number were written on the wall in the ladies room at the Correctional Center a year or so ago. You can't believe all the calls I've gotten.

Phil:

My e-mail address is on the OPS website, because I am the Vice-President. I get about one e-mail every two months. Mostly it is about an old collection left to them and they want to sell it.

I direct them to Ian Kimmerly's.

David

I'll have you know, Tom, that I've never been there and would never stoop so low as to do so.

On the other hand, many of the "ladies" I used to date (before I met my beautiful bride) were guests there for some period of time!
