Hi All
Being a Stamp collector when I was quite young, over time other wonderful interests in my life took over for a while once I hit my teens, like girls, work, marriage, children until just recently in the past 12 months my passion for stamp and coin collecting have been re-kindled and am now able to enjoy them in a much more informative way now that information is just a click away.
I remember being quite frustrated when I was young with my hobby as to get any information regarding it came entirely from me going to the local library to find an outdated book about what I was looking for or the local news stand to get the latest, very expensive magazine, but of course now with the wonderful introduction of the computer and the internet we can drown ourselves for hours, days and weeks of information on any subject at anytime.
Back when I was young, I had no idea of the incredible depth that my two hobbies go to and now recently I have given myself a good 12 months to try to start to barely touch the surface of my hobbies before I dare join a stamp forum as not to seem completely stupid .
My main reason for joining the Stamp forum was to continue learning about my hobbies and hopefully in some small way be able to make a contribution.

Regards Michael

G,day Michael,
Ihave just recently retired and taken up the stamps for a hobby, there is certainly a lot to learn, I thought how dramatic is it to only be half a perf out and finding it means the difference between 50 cents and thousands of dollars, you can spend hours on the computer and certainly learn a lot in a short time.
Regards
Stewart
