I have some pre-posted 29c envelopes that are not in
just perfect condition. They have slightly discolored
and some have slight bends or crumples.

Should I, and can I, just add some postage to these and
use them? Will the PO give me a hassle about it, even
when the postage adds up to enough?

Thanks for your input.

Go ahead and use them with the extra postage. They are still worth 29 cents, and never expire. Shouldn't be a hassle at all.

I say use them to send to collector's for trades, buys, or sells. Everyone is correct that there should be no problem from the post office as long as you have correct amount of postage applied.

I would also use them. Many 3 cent issues I am still trying to use as postage as these are very common.

Didn't they cost more than 29c new? - I think they were 34c.

I think they did cost more..factoring in the envelope..so they are really ahead of the game...i have a shoebox of mint postal stationary that the wife of a deceased dealer gave me..she said theres no market for them..i found a couple of people that wanted some of the topical ..golf etc: a lot of them are the "window" type I wonder if I will get around to using them ??

I had some Canadian postal stationery that was the window type. I just put a white label over the window, added the postage to make the correct rate, and everything worked out find.

I also have a few in not so great shape-yellowing color, etc- but still very useable--thanks for the idea of using them! Mine are 15 cent ones.

The PO is going to love me...
I have a trade going out to Canada soon.
I think I'll use one of these to confuse things nicely.

Whatcha think of this cover?

I am sending some stamps to Dianne in Canada.
I got 90 cents on there so far.

I used an imperfect 29c envelope and some stamps that I
have a great deal of in unused condition. Address have
been altered to protect the innocent!

I know I have some 'H' stamps... I believe I saw some
'G's though. What would that do?

I only hesitated to use those because I don't know the
values without looking them up.

If you really want to give them a head ache put the stamps on the back like some of the ones I have gotten. This makes for an interesting cover.

I am still wondering what it is about "G" stamps that
confuses them...
