Hey everyone,
I am new to the stamp forum, and quite honestly have absolutely no knowledge on stamps or postcards. Ironically, a huge book of postcards and stamps were recently handed down to me, an I have no clue what they are, how much they are worth, and what to do with them. I will post a url with pics below (I blurred out the address). Each one is adressed to my deceased relative, and everyone contains a certificate of authenticity signed by John W. Warner. The cover says "American revolution Bicentennial 1776-1976." There are 92 different places each with the postcard, stamp, and certificate, ranging from places around the world. They also have a small map of the area, a few paragraphs on the area, and a full color page dedicated to it. Any help would be much appreciated.

They appear to be a collection of first day covers put out during the American Bicentennial. Groups like these are put together from time to time by various companies.

I don't know much about this set but I have seen the covers going for a low as a dollar and as high as three dollars. I'm not sure how many different countries stamps are included with the set though. Chances are that they will sell less than what was paid for the collection.

I do not believe there is any thing special with this set that makes them any more valuable than just regular covers. However they do make an attractive addition to a collection.

Other companies putting out similar issues were the Franklin Mint and the key is that every thing has the so called certificat of
authenticity making people part with more money than what they were worth.

Here is a link for one of the covers for sale.

They are pretty common after doing a little searching. The average price appears to be around $2 a cover or at least the asking price is.

In 1976 The Franklin Philatelic Society created a set of first day covers containing stamps and post marks from around the world to commemorate the American Bicentennial.

Thanks Mkfarm and bobggg.
Mkfarm, the stamp for sale you posted doesn't come with the full decorated pages that mine come with. Mine have a background on the area, along with a picture etc.. Is this special or any different?
Thanks again

Your relative was probably offered a "deluxe album" or "deluxe presentation binder" at an added cost for enrolling in the program. This is typical.

That was just a sample of another one of the FDC's that were being offered. I think the following link is one from your collection.

I don't really follow these that much since I consider the investment to obtain them more than I would ever get in return. However they are nicely done and a lot of people enjoy them. I'm sorry I can't be of more help than what I provided.

I think bobggg are in agreement keep them as something to enjoy. It might become a family keepsake for future family to enjoy.

You get to enjoy them and remember the owner whom
you knew personally. Then your kids or grandkids
get to enjoy a modest increase in value one day.
