For those whom have not had the privilege to attend a stamp show, philatelic event, or first day ceremony I thought some photographs would be an ideal way to see what you are missing. I will be posting some pictures of mine from a few events where I was smart enough to bring my camera. They will include Washington 2006, first day ceremony for the Flags Of Our Nation set II Illinois stamp, & the unveiling ceremony for the upcoming 2009 Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial stamps. If anyone else has some photos please post for all to see.

Hey Dude! Do you take Scott Stamp Monthly? They had a pretty comprehensive 15 or 16 page article on Lincoln philately in the last issue.

If not, would you like me to mail you a copy?

No, I don't subscribe to it. But I will go pick a copy up. Is it the December issue? Thanks for the heads up. I'll let you know if I can't find a copy at a book store.

The cover has February, but you can't miss it. It has his picture plastered all over the front!

I just went to their website & saw the cover. Also, the only place to get it here is Barnes & Noble. So it looks like I may be making a special trip to the "shopping" side of town in the freezing rain tomorrow morning. Woo Hoo!

Apparently, Barnes & Noble here does not carry Scott Stamp Monthly any longer. They couldn't even pull it up in their inventory computer.

I tried uploading some pictures over the weekend for this post and was running into technical difficulties scaling down the digital pictures memorywise. I'll have to figure something else out, maybe I'll use my molasses slow desktop computer upstairs. That is where the scanner is anyway.
