I am at work today sporting one of my many stamp themed ties. It has a red background with the US 10 cent blue Lindberg Airmail plane. I also have a couple stamp t shirts and a few ball caps. I get the most use out of my stamp ties, I think I have about a dozen different one.

My Mum worked at Canada Post for 27 years. I've got all kinds of t-shirts, etc.

Most cool, because I collect United States, is a set of four place mats with Christmas Fantasy stamps themes made by Phil Bruno's extreamly better half, Jopie. As well, a lovely comforter made with cloth showing the 50 "Greetings" USA stamps.

Now that's cool. What did your Mum do there?

The latest t-shirt I remember seeing them have on sale was one with the 50 cent Bluenose stamp on it.

Bob,
Thanks for the Christmas photo in you pajama's.

David,
The 50 state greetings comforter sounds cool. I really like that stamp series.

Oh! I just remembered that I went into a post office, Glenarm IL, and they had curtains made from material with the US 2001 Heroes semi-postal stamp.

Wpg:

Mum started out as a CR4-clerk, in 1972, took night courses and worked her way up the chain.

She was a bean counter for years in collection and delivery. Her last few years she was Manager, Northern Services. She was responsible for all the RPO's (Retail Postal Outlets) in the NWT and Northern Québec.

When she retired, the NorthWest Company, with whom she negotiated all the contracts for the north for handling postal services, gave her a huge Inukshuk carved from soapstone.

She was also on the team that negotiated the mail sorting on Baffin Island for Greenland. All mail posted on Greenland goes to Canada Post's MPP on Baffin Is. for sorting, and then back to Greenland.

After she retired, she was hired by Canada Post International to set up post offices on Aruba, a former Dutch Colony.
