An earlier post indicated that microprint occurs on all 20 Potter stamps. The secret message was easy to locate, but I can see no other microprinting. Has anyone verified that additional microprint is present on these stamps?
The only microprinting on the stamps is the "secret message". The whole point of microprinting is to thwart counterfeiting. It doesn't matter whether it reads "USPS" or a "secret message" -- the end result is that it accomplishes the same thing.
It's nothing that hasn't already been said here, but I put together a few Harry Potter thoughts on my blog .. thought I would share. http://jeffstage.wordpress.com/
To Centerstage98: What you wrote in your blog about the Harry Potter stamps was very educational. I have no hard fellings toward the post office for the decisions they make while trying to stay alive. Outside of collecting stamps, I support the post office as best I can. (All bills paid by postal mailing, I send written letters instead of E-Mail, and I still send hundreds of Christmas cards every year!) As a die hard stamp collector, From issue #1 to todays new stamps, I will continue to support my USPS!
