very nice. We must have been on the same wavelength, because that is what I was picturing in my mind with the Elk envelope.

Mkfarm, I have been following your little local post when I can and this is just a great idea. Hope to see more soon. On another note I have gotten a pack together of the Canadian and will try to get it out Monday. Sorry for the delay but I was trying to find another set that I know I have for you.

mk- received your local post. I think it's just great! I will add to my Rattlesnake Island Local Post stamp, and it will be on a special page by itself...Oh no, I feel another possible topical collection coming to mind.

Thanks for sending me one,
rockin

MKFarm:

Nice design with the trees and the elk. Will you keep the trees, or will you change with different postal stationery?

For now the first regular issue will incorporate the trees along with the elk stamped envelop. I like that combination since I can't produce a regular stamp at this time.

At least the design matches the stamped envelop as if they were both printed on at the same time. I'm in my third revision but it is getting close. The original essays did not include the elk envelop.

I hope to come up with an easy process to design some stamps later. I would like to issue a few different stamps each year.

It takes some time putting everything together, I really want to release a nice Local Post along with a MPP. I thought it would be nice to offer some of the essays as a little history of the process. The essay's all went out with regular stamps instead of the Elk Envelop.

That is what it is all about making stamp collecting more fun. BTW I haven't forgot about you. I have one held back, I'm waiting for my new mix to come so I can send you some more stamps out in one of my Local Post envelopes.

Diane that is a great idea. I can see you using a rose or orchid.
I have been kicking around the idea to incorporate my topical interests into my local post postmark. I may end up with 2 devices: Abraham Lincoln and Route 66. On the other hand my stamp label topics can change more easily.

MK I recieved my Cover today. Thanks very much for it. It looks really cool and now has me wanting to research and find out more about this Local Post. I doubt I will get into anything like it but is always good to have that knowledge.
