I get 11x16 which makes it an F grill, Scott 96.

quigngt, That isn't what I am saying. All Z grills must have 18 horizontal rows, no matter what stamp it is on.

observing from this link http://www.jamesdire.net/grill.html the morphology of the oblique lines of the grid seems to correspond to a z but not an expert so I'll leave you a decision

You are correct sinclair2010. I use theswedishtiger website for details on lots of stamps. It is on this web page that follows (at the end) that the owner of the site contradicts himself on the Z Grill page. At the very top he shows a Z grill that states they have 15-17 horizontal points. Yesterday I simply scrolled down to 85D that indicated it has 18 points. In my haste I did not check the other Zs and assumed that horizontal points varied.
