I'm curious as to the postmark on the last postcard shown. It appears to be an RPO that looks like "Jack. & St. R?". Anyone know what the postmark reads? I'm guessing "Jacksonville and ...?" but not sure what the other half of the name might be. Any guesses?

Steve (AKA: tomiseksj) thinks it reads "Jacksonville & St. Petersburg" RPO."

A Google image search yielded this. I suspect he's most-likely spot on. What are your thoughts?

I am sad to see that the era of post cards came to an end. They were a cheap - and attractive (often funny) way of sending a quick greeting. Kinda like email y'know.

Thanks for the ID of the RPO postmark. Gotta love the abbreviation of "Saint Petersburg" as "St. Petersb'g.". A creative way to fit a long name in a limited space in a postmark!

Although this example (also taken from an ebay listing) shows another variation in the RPO name abbreviated as "Jack. & St. Peters" (and notably no period after "Peters" either):

Two post cards from 1920s

Top card : Second Ave. from 78th Street , Bay Bridge, Brooklyn, N.Y.
On the backside publisher/editor name is not printed but only " Made in USA " and the letter "M" inside a kind of mug .

Bottom card :71807 The Pike's Peak Auto Highway The World's Highest Highway
On the backside : "PHOTOSTINT" / Trade Mark Reg U.S. Pat Off/ Made Only by Detroit Publishing Co.

Would be interesting to see how those places look today !

Here's a modern shot from the same intersection as the top postcard. The house on the left seems to be the same as the house on the extreme left in the post card.
