Something with a foold mind I guiss. It is F grill thanks to all replyers. And Sir Weissman who gave me a free advise.

I only can to all the people. Hope the experts will forgive the rookie.

The FIRST thing I would do, if I were you, is CLEAN that stamp in warm (not hot) soapy water, then rinse and press dry. Hopefully that may remove or lighten all the ugly black residue on the back. Then, assuming it does clean up nicely, apply the graphite as Kevin has explained above.

That poor stamp needs a bath desperately! A little warm water and a touch of soap would do it I bet! If you are really slick you can use the Hydrogen peroxide & warm water method but I wouldn't recommend it. Then you could better see what your dealing with. I always thought this was a great stamp design and of course the grill is just icing on the and if it was a rare grill then you got it made! -Jeff

I didn't see that Bill commented almost the same thing as far as cleaning so I apologize for the doubling-up.
Great minds think alike huh? lol
