Mjne was supposed to be last night but the leadership decided that they needed to cancel it because there was a "threat" of ice. too bad they didn't tell all; of us. Six of us sat there for about an hour before the Library that it is held in finally told us that the meeting was cancelled.I guess thats what hapopens when you are middle aged and still 20 plus years younger
than the next member.

Richard

Have fun tonight Phil. Had ours last night, a little slow and quite. Not much up on auction either, must be most still recovering from the holidays.

I don't get to 'do' stamp meetings so I'll have to entertain myself with the FL-OK football game.

Aha, there was some talk of getting home to watch the game, but since the Jets blew it..i am not too interested..we did well..12 members showed up..we have some good guys if they have "stuff" that they do not collect they bring it in and sell to the members for around 20 percent of catalog, we always have a good time when we get together...

Phil:

Thursday night was our first OPS meeting of 2009. I chaired the meeting (as I am the V-P) and the Chairman of the U.S. Study Group. January is U.S. Month at the OPS, so me and the U.S. Study Group members are running the meetings for the month.

Next week we have Tom Hare speaking about grading U.S, stamps. The following week, Dick Logan does his lecture on the Columbians.

Everyone enjoyed the meeting. We had 38 members, present.

David

All but two were attentive, and there was audience participation.
