I just recently purchased a UV light so I have been examining the tagging of my collection.

Here is a Sc#2043 that has an interesting tagging shift. It reminds me of a mis-perforation, or color shift. How common is this?

fimpster....tagging shifts are pretty common.
As long as the tagging is visible on the stamp the cancelling machine
can pick it up.

Flimpster, great picture of this tagging break. If I may ask, what is the make and model of your lamp? And what did you use to make this picture?

Thanks guys.

Peter, my lamp is the Lighthouse Dual-Wave UV lamp found at Amos: https://www.amosadvantage.com/scott...category=LGH

To get the picture I placed the stamp on a piece of black construction paper and leaned the UV lamp up right near the stamp. I cropped the picture so you don't see the lamp right outside the top frame. I took the picture in a fairly dark room with my Canon Elph pocket camera.

Fimpster, thank you. My UV lamp is from the same manufacturer but an older model! I have to change the bulb for different wavelengths!

Peter.
