I've collected U.S. for a while, but I just recently got serious about Canal Zone. I checked out this forum to see if anyone could help with some pointers on detecting fake overprints. Not much on that topic here. However, I am very impressed with the variety of topics and the knowledge of those who respond. So I decided to memberify. I also collect duck stamps, U.N., and am thinking about getting started on U.S. Philippines, starting with Japanese occupation.

Nice to hear someone else saves UN stamps- for some reason it seem it has never taken off even though I've collected them since 1952. Looks like most have a value of 35-40% face and it seems to become very much more expensive each year to collect.

Going through my storage boxes, I just found a "First Day of Issue Thirteen Cent Airmail Booklet Pane" from the Canal Zone - February 11, 1974. Is this something of interest to you?
