The stats that I would like to see is what percentage of bill paying is still done by mail. I think that is where the majority of stamps are used.

It looks as if the stamp album page(s) created for the "A Flag for All Seasons" stamps are going to have to be revised based on this Linn's Stamp News article suggesting that a 2014 yet-to-be-announced format of the stamps are in the works:

http://linns.com/news/us-stamps/279...riety-likely

At least it should be very easy to identify them, assuming they will carry a 2014 date.

A new variety of "A Flag for All Seasons"??? Really! Who ordered that!
Why, with all the new Star Spangled Banner stamps on hand, would the USPS issue a new version of last year's flags? Did they just realize that they forgot to include an ATM pane & are hurrying to fill the void? Makes no sense to me ... but then what the postal service does frequently affects me in that manner.

Re-read the Linn's Stamp News article I posted on 03/13/2014. They have now updated the article. It appears that the new FFAS stamps will be issued in a Double-Sided Booklet of 20 (CB20) by Sennett (SSP) and will have a 2014 date on it.

They go on to suggest that the usage will be directed to retail establishments that are not post offices (i.e. grocery stores, etc.). Apparently the decision is based on signage having been prepared illustrating these stamps before the Star Spangled Banner stamps were issued and instead of changing the signage, they are changing the stamps to the older FFAS design.
