So says the seller....... http://cgi.ebay.com/Stamps-Presiden...en_W0QQitemZ380096707659QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item 380096707659&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:4%7C65:1%7C39:1%7C240:1318 Until you learn that $160.00 Liberian dollars is only $2.50 USD ! How many collectors do you think get sucked in by this type of hype ? How many get discouraged when they learn that they've been burned and blame all sellers for their own lack of knowledge ? Far too many in my opinion.

Speaking of Bernie... Can you believe they let him bail out with stolen money!?! He never earned an honest dime in his life, so any money put towards bail was certainly not his own. Our court system never ceases to cheez me off.
Sorry for the hijack. I'm done. |

This guy is not a stamp dealer. His only other stamp offer is one of what looks like Kenmore is offering, except at $17.99.
Not to worry, however. The target audience isn't likely to be stamp collectors but souvenir hunters. And only those gullible enough to believe in their candidate's pitch will be gullible enough to believe the pitch for the stamps. |

Shouldn't this be in general discussion? I ain't goin' there. Already got zapped once. Maybe I can say this; We are up the proverbial estuary without the proper means of propulsion. As to the philatelic aspect of these things, read up on the status of Liberia's stamps in Scotts. they're just this side of Nagaland and that's being conservative. |

Unfortunately, there are going to be many dollars and many disappointments surrounding these "Obama" issues arising everywhere and not just the stamps. Shades of Elvis.... |

It would seem we all agree that "the bizillion" issues with the hype thick enough to choke on are quite worthless......there's not much we can do about them.........except to expose the crooks and make sure our friends do not get sucked in. |

In a partial defense of Kenmore, they do sell genuine stamps, albeit at high prices. |

Quote: albeit at high prices. Kenmore is giving you the chance to own 9 stamps for $ 9.95. Will these stamps ever have a catalog value, higher than 20 cents, each ? Quote: there's not much we can do about them.........except to expose the crooks and make sure our friends do not get sucked in.

"And only those gullible enough to believe in their candidate's pitch will be gullible enough to believe the pitch for the stamps."
I really didn't see any politics in this statement. However I think it is a true statement when it comes to these type of stamp offers. In fact these stamps are issued to pry upon people based on their politics.
For me these stampa don't interest me at all. But then again no matter which president they put on the stamps I would have the same interest - zero. |
