Was wondering if its possible to disable linking posts for a new member until they reach 50 quality posts? Seems we keep getting a rash of new members posting spam links. This in no way has to do with all the legitimate new members. Thank you for your time. Respectfully, Gary

To help our moderators, at any give time there are at least a few of us on SCF,if we keep our eyes open and report any spam looking material as soon as we spot it will also help.

I reported a few the other morning and the members/mods are usually right ontop of it so disabling links might be more of a problem then the spammers in the long run.

Believe it or not we stop 99% of them with some pretty slick automation, the last wave the software stopped almost 500 posts automagically. I analyze the ones that get through and tweak the software. It's a constant battle.

As mentioned reporting them (and NOT replying) is a HUGE help. When any of the Staff logs on there's a big bold red number at the top of every page telling us how many notes are waiting so we can jump on it right away.
