Is it posted anywhere on a USPS site what the print run of this was? It is sold out (at least for now!) I finally got word that my sheets were shipped and I ordered them on Feb 19! |

Assuming we're still talking about the Lincoln press sheets, there were to be 2500 of each variety produced. |

If 2500 is the correct number and the total of NDC panes = 7500 (panes of 20).. there must be a least 1000 collectors of full panes of US stamps, that is very few for the world of collectors? I plan to use the NDC sheets on mailings. However, I find the USPS out of step with the collecting world. |

i agree that these imperf issues are ridiculous but they are here. Scott chooses to ignore them, but people are using them for postage. |

I received the Lincoln press sheet w/o die cuts yesterday. I am just wondering whether there is a way to tell the difference (if any) between the first print run and the presumably subsequent print run. My sheet has the plate # C111. |

Depending on what you choose to believe, the USPS is claiming that the entire run of the Lincoln "without die cut" Press Sheets were late to arrive from the printer (CCL), thus the reason for the delay. It is confirmed in this latest Linn's Stamp News release: http://linns.com/news/breaking-stam...heet-varietyGiven this information, it would appear that there is no "first" and "second" print run. |

Thanks wt1 for the info. If anyone received this press sheet before March 27, please speak up. That would completely refute the story propagated by the USPS. |

I noticed the $599 Arizona Press sheet without Die Cuts is not listed on the USPS site as of yesterday. Maybe it sold out? The stamps all being the same design, 30 per sheet, even if there were only 100 press sheets made available (I am not sure of print quantity just speculating) there might not be enough demand to push prices upward.
Anyone seeing something different? |

Quote: I noticed the $599 Arizona Press sheet without Die Cuts is not listed on the USPS site as of yesterday. Maybe it sold out? It's still available at this link: https://store.usps.com/store/browse...tPressSheetsAs to print quantity, 500 (with die cuts) and 500 (without die cuts) Press Sheets were produced. Personally, I doubt it will be a sell out unless speculators with a lot of funds deem it a good investment (even though I wouldn't think so). As an individual collector, if I wanted an imperforate (without die cut) example of this stamp, it would be much more cost effective to pay a small premium for a gutter pair or block on the secondary market than to lay down nearly $600 for an entire Press Sheet. |

Quote:I doubt it will sell out anytime soon - so far only 36 have been sold through USPS's ebay store I agree. But did you notice the USPS ebay Store listing shows "limited quantity remaining" and "65% sold"? (Although I think those numbers are more "hype" than truth.) |

Yes, I saw that, but USPS have the habit of increasing the available quantity for virtually all items they sell from time to time, thereby artificially introducing a sense that a sell-out is imminent - this is from the Arizona uncut press sheet without die-cuts: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...047675.l2569I don't know why they play cat & mouse with us... |
