2 C Washington A139, Guess Bluish Paper. Anyone?

Hi. This is as I can see a A139 2 c bluish paper... but Am I right?
Beautiful thing is still carry the date. Mike33, I guess is like bacon, you donīt care where it comes, but when you know is a lot lot better, thanks.

Type A88 from 1894, not A139 on bluish paper (Scott 358). Most likely a Scott 248 (some shade of pink) The date cancel makes it easy to identify.

The design you show is an A88. Depending on watermark and triangle type it could be a few things. Here is a few possibilities of what it could be as I can't make out much detail from your image.

Edit: Your right about the cancel and date! Good thing it wasnt a snake huh?!

Without watermark - 248
With watermark (wmk#191)- 267a, 279B c or g

Of course these are only a few possibilities but you should be able to investigate it more and nail it down. -Jeff
