Newbies From The Villages, FL

Hello,
My husband and I just started to learn about stamp collection not too long ago. I inherited my mom's stamp album for USA and Worldwide. She used Elmer glue to stick those used postage stamps on the pages. She had bunch of loose stamps in box. My husband's friend had given my husband bunches of USA and other countries loose postage stamps. I've been doing a lot of reading on borrowed books including Scott specialized and other catalogues from library and researching internet. I am very much interested in old, old stamps including revenue stamps, state hunting permit stamps, stock transfer stamps, etc. My husband likes all stamps including newer ones. I have found A88 stamps but different types. Fascinating to study which is which. Right now I am doing research on which uv light and watermark tools work best for older stamps. Will be posting lots of questions. Looking forward to learn more from the experts.
